EPIDEMIC MANAGEMENT : COVID-19 RESPONSE ACTIVITIES

The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting millions of lives and has devastating health and socio-economic consequences on human beings and society. As the world is facing unprecedented COVID-19 epidemic, intensifying and threatening the survival of human race, SPID is responding in efficient and helpful ways. To increase the efficiency it requires the efforts and coordination of many stakeholders from government and communities to NGOs and CBO partners. Whenever unpredictable disaster strikes, SPID society coordinates with these stakeholders to provide humanitarian aid/relief to vulnerable people like daily labours, migrant workers, construction workers, elderly and homeless people, rickshaw pullers, street vendors , domestic workers, transgenders, rag pickers, women in prostitution, differently abled, children and communities who are in dire need. SPID supports through humanitarian assistance, organising awareness programmes , provide preventive measures to bring back their life on track.

SPID- COVID-19 Response Relief Activities :

SPID – society holds following relief activities / services during COVID-19 crisis:

  • Community Kitchen & Cooked food Distribution for Construction Workers & Street Vendors and migrants.

  • Ration distribution to transgender /WIP.

  • Supplementary Nutrition Food distribution & Milk to children 1-5 years, pregnant & lactating women.

  • Sanitary Items distribution.

  • Helping people for getting registration for free ration card coupon ( Linking with Govt Free Ration Card Coupon making )

  • Advocacy for the Women In prostitution.

  • Awareness programmes (Digitally & Physically on COVID-19 effects, safety & Prevention Measures).
