At SPID, we value our interns and volunteers for their generous contributions of time, skill, knowledge and spirit. We are always eager to work with dedicated individuals from India and abroad and believe that we can all benefit from a multicultural work environment that provides each of us with a wider perspective on social development.

It is mandatory for the students / researchers to send a letter of intimation from their concerned institutions to the Director of SPID stating the purpose and duration of the proposed internship at least one month in advance. The CV of the students / researchers is also required to be attached with the letter. The confirmation of proposed internship / research work would be sent after reviewing the documents.

Volunteers who are willing to contribute to the society, having interest in documentation, data analysis, action research, proposal development and website management etc. are also encouraged. Additionally, SPID encourages its interns / volunteers to fundraise actively for SPID after their internship.

It is desirable that the interns / researchers / volunteers would abide by the policies, rules and regulations of SPID. Please download the internship form and send filled up form at info@spidsociety.org

Testimonials

“Volunteering with SPID was an experience I will never forget. I learned so much about India, and was able to contribute to the important work done by SPID and the wonderful people who work there. I will always be grateful for my time working with SPID and to the people at SPID for welcoming me into their community.

“Through my internship at Society for Participatory Integrated Development, I’ve had the chance to work with students from the SMART Vocational Training program and observe the course of their education in skill development. I have witnessed many students grow in their confidence level, in their way of addressing others and in their overall professional skills. They have successfully progressed from students to young adults ready for the job market. One of the biggest achievements for the teachers as well as I is witnessing cheery students arrive at the centre after successfully passing their first interview and getting the job.”
